insurance

The Lactation Network (TLN) handles all of the hassle of figuring out coverage and getting you preapproved for a consult!

If your plan is not contracted with TLN - payment is due at time of service. A superbill will be given at the end of the consult and you will use this to seek reimbursement for the consultation from your insurance provider.

MOST insurance companies are required under ACA to cover lactation services. Sometimes there are co-pays or cost sharing involved. We highly recommend calling your insurance provider to verify coverage PRIOR to your appointment.

Fees listed are potentially reimbursable from your insurance carrier but I cannot guarantee they pay all or part of the visit fee. Payment is due at time of service.  If these rates are cost prohibitive, reach out and will we discuss a plan to get you help.

VIRTUAL TELEHEALTH CONSULTATION 30mins (quick questions) $50,1 hour, $95

Virtual visits are convenient and ideal for discussing supply, pumping, prenatal education and troubleshooting many breastfeeding scenarios.

Using your portable device and a support person your consultant can assess and talk you through positioning and latch strategies.

IN YOUR HOME VISIT, 1.5 hours, $200 

Travel to your home.  No tidying of your house allowed!  I am there to assist with breastfeeding, not judge.

In Person support- includes a thorough history, assessment and assistance with latch and positioning as well as pre- and post-feed weights. Care plan and follow up instructions provided and visit includes secure messaging support for 1 week. For newborns, it’s recommended to follow up with weekly visits (virtual or in person) for the first 4-6 weeks postpartum.

FOLLOW UP HOME VISIT, 1-1.5 hours, $150 

For those who are dealing with an on-going feeding concerns.

 

 

reimbursement/cancellation policy

  • Payment is due at time of service. 

  • Please be kind and considerate and give at least 24+ hours notice if you need to cancel.  Your appointment time is dedicated solely to you, with much prepping and planning with you in mind.  If cancellation is less than 24 hours, a $30 cancellation fee will be charged.
